Is it correct to think that number 7 expresses God?
It is not quite correct to think that 7 is the number that represents God or that is the unique number of God. Satan also has that number as one of its attributes. We discuss the spiritual significance of that number.
We must pay attention to the following:
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven crowns. Revelation 12: 3
As the word itself explains, the seven-headed dragon is Satan (Revelation 20: 2). The thing to note here is that Satan also has number 7 as one of its attributes. So number 7 and is a number of perfection (Satan is not perfect, only God is perfect), nor is the number that expresses God.
What number 7 symbolizes
While the candlestick has seven lamps of the Tabernacle (Exodus 25: 31-37); seven are the days of the Hebrew week (Leviticus 23: 3); there are seven churches (Revelation 1:20); seals (Revelation 5: 1); trumpets (Revelation 8: 2); the bowls of wrath (Revelation 16: 1); etc., etc., etc., all this is because in reality the number 7 is the expression of the supernatural, the spiritual, the invisible, intangible and eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).
That is why Satan, being a spiritual being and yet be opposed to the Word of God and the church of Jesus Christ also holds 7 as one of its attributes.
And all this because Satan, God's creation, has a well-defined purpose in the plan of salvation (that we will treat it, God willing, in another entry).
But in short, God, who is infinite can not be expressed in a finite number, however all spiritual, whether spiritual beings like angels (including Satan and his soldiers); or Heaven, or anything that is intangible or immaterial, but it certainly exists in the eternal and spiritual world, has the attribute number 7.
