Food for the soul: The Word of God

The food for the soul needed

The Word of God teaches us that it is not only necessary to nourish the physical body, but also our inner being needs to be properly nourished (Deuteronomy 8: 3).

Just as our physical body requires good quality food and its hours, so our inner being needs to feed properly. Speaking of physical foods, if we do not eat our hours we begin to faint and we are not ready for the challenges that the increasingly demanding everyday life presents us. But equally if those foods that we eat are of inferior quality we will lack some vitamin and the exhaustion will make us sick.

With food for the soul happens the same, if we do not ingest it of quality and daily our inner being faints and that in the long run will not be good.

The modern world produces a series of intense and negative emotions: anguish, stress, fear, insecurity, despair, etc. All these intense and negative emotions produce a strong inner weariness and if we do not strengthen that part of our being we will eventually be destroyed even physically.

The food for the soul of the best quality: the Word of God

The Lord knows all this well, that is why He has made available to us the entire food and food for the best possible quality: His Word.

All who are thirsty, come and drink water; And those who have no money, come and carry wheat, wine and milk for free. Pay attention to me and you will eat good and delicious food. It is not worth making money and spending it on meals that do not take away hunger. Isaiah 55: 1-2

Just as when we ingest material food we renew our physical strength, so the Word of God is a spiritual food that brings comfort, strength and joy; Which creates hope and patience but above all, produces a tremendous supernatural faith that prevails in the midst of the greatest adversities.

Although the Word of God is a food that helps us to bear the sorrows of this world, we must understand that in this existence suffering is inevitable, but that the following life will be very different from this:

For I am sure that the afflictions of the present time are not comparable with the glory which is to come. Romans 8:18

However, as we enter into the joy of the next life (Matthew 25:21), we may have faith that the Lord hears our supplications:

Be anxious for nothing, but let your requests be made known to God in all prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. Philippians 4: 6

The Word of God and the Holy Presence

It is very natural that the problems of this world cause us to enter into misery and despair, nevertheless we must never forget that it will always be within our reach to have an encounter with the Creator of the Universe, which is a supernatural and incomparable experience and that In addition it is reserved only for all its children who live in cleaning. Experience of such magnitude that surpasses any problem however great. If you need Him you can at all times come to His Presence, He dwells in His Word and you just have to go to meet Him there. He does not reject anyone who seeks him sincerely.

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

The food of the soul of the children of God is not paper and ink, but that Voice that dwells in the Word and that desires to enter into communion with you today.

Open the door now. There is a shelter to which you can have access and be in close communion with Him.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20
